Happy holidays everyone, hope y'all are doing well and having a blessed time of the year. I hope my readers can forgive me for taking little breaks but sometimes as much as I would love to share some moments with you guys, I have other priorities like my studies. Everything else drops at the sound of studies lol.

So  to cheer you up a little I thought I shouldn't end this year without updating you guys on my whereabouts. I know a few of my readers on Snapchat may already know that this season has been one of the busiest, yet fun one for me. Not to forget Christmas, for a moment It didn't feel like a Christmas over here in England. We had a warm Christmas..very unusual. I hope everyone got what they were expecting and more, for I certainly did, "So thankful".

I actually can't believe how quick this year has gone, within a blink of an eye. Looking back at the year, I can gladly say God has been faithful and gracious to me. I felt yellow all through out 2016. I am firmly focusing on all the positives and goodness of this year, for I am bringing this yellow feeling into 2017, my year of greatness.

Yellow stands for joy, happiness, loyalty, positivity, clarity & enlightenment. This brings me to why I wore this yellow sweater on this day, our last day of 2016.

The sweaters is as bright as my year has been and it was one of my on the go sweaters. I am a fun of light and soft knit wear and not heavy to wear. I also like the cut out shoulders, if you look closely you will be able to see the little sparkles the sweater has, it adds a little difference and uniqueness to the outfit. I matched it with black jeans and black knee high boots.

Having said it all about this look, I'll end here by saying goodbye and Happy 2017.

how would you style this look?

Hey lovies, Happy FriYay! Before I go any further I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to my friends for the support thus far. I finally uploaded my first video on my YouTube channel *Dabs*, the amount of encouragement I've received is overwhelming! Thank you guys!

Right so let's get back to these amazing pieces I've got today! I know it's autumn and some of you would say, "why is she wearing off shoulder in this weather?" Well I realised the off the shoulder is a trend that will be there in all seasons. When I bought this top a few weeks ago I thought I wouldn't wear it till next year summer lol but unfortunately I wanted to share the details of this top.

Another thing I've come to realise is the ruffle trend that's going on, my top has got that ruffle vibe going on by the wrist and at the bottom of the top.  I was a little confused with the bottom part of the top to be honest because it looks just like a peplum top ( correct me if I'm wrong)

I paired this top with high waisted jeans, I must say, they are my favourite jeans at the moment. I have lots of ripped jeans but these are different from what I already have! The rips on the knees and ankles give me that extra "I feel good" feeling.

This look is simple yet elegant. It goes with any body shapes. I felt really comfortable with my body, I didn't have to watch my stomach! Ladies you know what I'm talking about.  Overall this look is affordable.

I look forward to hearing what you think of this look.

Jacket/SimilarTop/H&M , Jeans/ASOS,  Shoes/Public Desire

Hi guys. Hope everyone had a great weekend. I definitely did, I was working with the lovely Lydia yesterday and I am so delighted to share this comfy jacket with you. I remember the days I was never allowed to wear anything camouflage in my motherland Zambia. If you were seen or caught wearing it, you'd get beaten up or stripped naked because it was never allowed for people to wear camouflage apart from Army women and men.

Today I'm in a country that is free and I can wear my camouflage! It has been on my mind to get myself one for months. I actually had a camo jacket in my ASOS basket going at £39.99 but I don't know what was stopping me from buying it. So one day I was walking past TK Maxx after uni and I saw this camo jacket going for £12.99. BARGAIN!! People might relate to this but every time I go into TK Maxx I end up buying something, things are just affordable in there.

I will definitely be wearing the jacket loads with different pieces. For this look I decided to pair it with a grey crop top and ripped black jeans and finally, these ankle boots which are extra comfortable, I could walk in them all day.

I hope you liked this look.

Have a blessed week.

Praying can sometimes be the most difficult thing to do. If you were to say that praying is easy, then please do let me know how you do it. However today I will be sharing a few tips on how my soul has been quickened lately and will support each tip with a scripture.

So the first thing is...

Finding a spot in your home where you can go and meet with God every day to devote yourself to reading God’s Word and praying. It helps you focus on your prayers and you should remember to keep that place Holy as it is a place of devotion. You can place your Bible there, your journals and anything else you need during your quite time, It could be pens, highlighters, etc. Make that room your place of war.

Why should we have a secret place?

Matthew 6:6
“But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.”

I am at a stage in my life where I honestly feel the prompting of God to get deeper into his Word and to pray more which was sorely lacking in my life. It was while since I did my 4am or 5am prayers until a friend encouraged to get back on my feet.

Sometimes I was mad at the person for waking me up so early for prayers and won't even say "good morning" lol but I later realised that not saying good morning helped me focus on my prayers, I remembered that it’s all about his glory and the advancement of his kingdom.

The more I am consistent with my prayer, I can easily say life is good.  For the past few months I have had a peaceful happy life where I am close to saying I do not have problems in my life.
"I ain't worried about nothing"

Let it be health, education, finance, relationships. You name it. I believe that through my prayer God giving me the desires of my heart.

Mark 11:24
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

There is a difference between knowing about God and personally knowing God. Everyone knows about God, which is why you are without excuse if you reject Him, but only a few that personally know and seek Him.

There are so many questions we can ask and  God will answer them through scriptures and that's why when we read the bible it will teach us, rebuke us, correct  us, and instruct us in righteousness. For It is written in Matthew 4:4
"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

Sometimes going to church every Sunday or for mid week service is not enough. We have to pray and fellowship with other believers, be part of a group where you are constantly sharing the word of God.

God made us all different and I find myself learning more about the gospel through such groups, to have corporate prayers that will open up your heart to the needs of others.

It bring encouragement, repentance, edification, joy, and the feeling of love among believers and it also shows togetherness submitting to the will of God.

Matthew 18:20
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

Hey dolls! I apologise for being absent for so long! I feel like I take way too much time before I update you on something and I apologise to you all, life just seems to get in the way all the time. No excuses though, I'm back for good now.

We are in an exciting season A/W, one of my favourite seasons actually as there is so much to play around with (style and colour wise) With that being said, I decided to kick off A/W on my blog with letting you know some of the challenges bloggers face.

Blogging gives you the opportunity to publish your style to the world and a potential way to make money, however they are challenges that new bloggers face and in many cases the challenges are enough to lead a blogger to give up.

1. Not Enough Traffic
It is possibly the most frustrating challenge for many bloggers. Attracting more visitors to your page is something that bloggers do not think about until your blog is launched and find out that not many people are visiting. Chai!

For new bloggers this can be very discouraging and one can easily give up.
I find taking a step back and looking at the types of posts I have published, seeing if they are worth grabbing attention. The types of posts I could try and I differentiate myself from other blogs in the industry. I also look at my posts that have the most views and this helps me to evaluate my blog posts.
The use of social media is another potential source of traffic which has been working well for me. I take advantage of any good social site to advertise my blog.

2. No Clear Purpose

Every blog should have a clear purpose. If you have a personal blog your focus is drawing your friends and family to your page and you can pretty much post whatever you want. But if you are blogging for businesses purposes you have to have an idea what you want to get out of blogging.  If your blog does not have a purpose it will be difficult to retain the interest of your visitors.

You have to think of what you want to blog about, this could be sharing your thoughts and opinions. Are you blogging to promote yourself or a company? Do you want to make money out of it? What type of posts will get you to where you want to be. You have to the answer to all these questions.

I find that many people start their blogs because someone else is doing so, it is good to get inspiration from people but you have to know your purpose on starting your journey.

3. Buying Of Clothes

New bloggers have this fear of fitting in the blogging world and they hope that their style can be unique and catchy to their viewers and that's why they find themselves constantly buying new clothes.

Most of us do not want to wear an outfit we have already posted on the blog lol the struggle is real, but i have come to realise that you can buy all the clothes and shoes in the stores but if you do not know how to style them or let yourself stand out  they become pieces that you'll probably will never wear because you outgrow them or they are not trendy.

I recently came across one of the bloggers on instagram who enlightened me with her style. She has pieces she's worn before 3 or 4 times but all the times she styled them differently. I call that creativity! If you want to be a style blogger you have to be creative with what you have. You don't need designer wear, you just need good pieces in your closet.

4. Not Making Blogger Friends

Having friends who are bloggers is a big influence in the industry these days. You can not do it alone, you have to have friends that have the same mindset as you. People that will give you honest opinions and help you grow.

However there is a lot of competition going on in this type of industry. The best advice to everyone who is a blogger is don't try and beat your other fellow bloggers, you got to help them so that they can help you.

You do not necessarily need to have a mutual friend  or be best buddies but you can build relationships through promoting each others contents, collaborating, meeting up or inviting each other for events, share ideas and encourage one another.

5. Not Following A Routine
When I started blogging I didn't have a routine. I wanted to post anything and everything but I later realised that I need time to evaluate myself. Time to learn about new things, new trends, what other bloggers are posting and what they are talking about.

Having a routine has helped me to be more organised, to have the time to interact with other bloggers and my viewers. It has also helped me on working on things that I need to promote.

Enough of the chit chatting, I obviously couldn't  leave without sharing an outfit so I thought I should share this gorg denim bangaree I recently purchased from Primark and matched it with one of my old mustard bodysuit from H&M. It was an easy pick and you will be seeing the bangaree in the near future.
I hope you guys have got an insight of my world, if you have any questions or topics you would like me to share, please leave them below. Also let me know what you are most looking forward to in the A/W season.
Hope you enjoyed reading this post.

Have a blessed weekend,

Hey dolls! Happy FRI-YAY!! It has been a while since I last blogged.. I have been working on a few things and getting back on track after my long holiday. However, today I'm sharing this amazing piece that's been sitting pretty in my closet.

I have recently been collecting a few playsuits/jumpsuit because I find them easy to wear and you don't have to stress on what top or bottoms to have on. This playsuit is one of my favourites! It was my first time wearing it last weekend. I was off work, the weather was good so I thought to myself why not dress up, show some legs, look pretty and feel sassy.

matched my £19.99 playsuit with a nude MK handbag, rose gold MK accessories and black studded cross sandals which were on sale at the time  and I got them for £3. It is a very much affordable look and I found it easy to match this outfit

If you were to wear this outfit how would you style it?

Hey everyone! Sorry I have been MIA. I was away on  holiday for a few weeks in Zambia.
I got back to Manchester over the weekend and started working on my blog. I  am excited to share my holiday with you guys. The first place I wanted to visit when I got home was the Victoria falls.

Victoria falls is a waterfall in Zambia southern province, in the town of Livingstone. It presents a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, forming the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It was described by the Kololo tribe living in the area as  ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ – ‘The Smoke that Thunders’.

In more modern terms Victoria Falls is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world. There is a built bridge across the Victoria falls and as you pass by you will catch the spray of the falls. I have always been nervous when crossing the bridge since I was little.  During this visit I had my sister and brother with me to cross the bridge but I remember at one point seeing them making a deal and I was wondering what was going on. they started walking fast while approaching the bridge and then I realised they wanted me to walk passed it by myself.  I was nearly in tears and started to scream but lucky enough I managed to grab my sister before she had the chance to escape lol  then we crossed the bridge together.

The pictures below were taken by the boiling pot, this is the place underneath the Zambia/Zimbabwe bridge where most people do their  bungee jumping. Unfortunately I did not take part in that because I am not brave enough to do it. Walking down to the place takes roughly about 25 mins there and back. Be warned your feet will ache after being at the boiling point and you will meet friendly but not so friendly monkeys on your way there lol
Sorry for spamming the post with so many pictures however I hope you enjoyed viewing it.
If you haven't been to my beautiful country Zambia, book yourself a holiday and GO! You will love it. Have a lovely week.

Chileshe xx
